The aim of “Good Corporate Governance” is to ensure transparent, holistic engagement with, and maximisation of long-term value of the company for all its stakeholders including shareholders, staff, government and the public in which the company operates.
The King IV report on Corporate Governance warrants entities to acknowledge that they do not operate in a vacuum, but are an integral part of society; consequently entities are accountability towards current and future stakeholders in all their dealings.
Good governance principles require a holistic commitment throughout the organisation from the board of directors to staff.
At SBP we aim to help directors to effectively meet their challenges of their critical roles by sharing governance leading practices and share our insight into significant governance challenges and development. By so doing helping directors to comply with regulations and evolving expectations from stakeholders.
We believe that organisations that are able to embed good governance practices should demonstrate high levels of trust and willingly be transparent to stakeholders.
